Description

Solstice® L40X (R-455A) is an HFO-HFC-CO₂ refrigerant blend developed by Honeywell to meet modern refrigeration requirements. With an ultra-low GWP (approximately 146), it is fully compliant with EU F-Gas regulations. It offers a performance profile that combines cooling capacity comparable to R-404A, high energy efficiency, an extended operating envelope, and a relatively low critical pressure, making it ideal for new systems designed for low and medium temperatures.

Classified as A2L (mildly flammable) and compatible with POE lubricants, it is suitable for commercial and industrial applications requiring environmental compliance without compromising performance. Honeywell recommends the use of POE oils and compatible materials for proper cleaning and sealing.
