Opteon XP40 R449A
Opteon® XP40 (R-449A) is a low-GWP, non-flammable HFO-HFC refrigerant blend designed to replace R-404A and R-507 in medium- and low-temperature commercial and industrial refrigeration systems. It offers improved energy efficiency and full compatibility with POE lubricants.
Description
Opteon® XP40 (R-449A) is an HFO-HFC refrigerant blend developed to ensure high performance in medium- and low-temperature refrigeration. Thanks to its low Global Warming Potential (GWP), it reduces environmental impact by more than 65% compared to traditional R-404A and R-507 refrigerants. It is ideal for both new installations and for the quick, cost-effective retrofitting of existing systems using R-404A/R-507.
This refrigerant is non-flammable (ASHRAE Class A1) and miscible with POE lubricants, making conversion simple without the need to replace components, lubricants, or seals. Opteon® XP40 is adopted by leading system and component manufacturers and is used in various direct expansion (DX) refrigeration systems, such as cold rooms, refrigerated warehouses, display cases, and refrigerated cabinets. It is available as both virgin and reclaimed gas.
