Opteon XP10 R513A
Opteon® XP10 (R-513A) is a low-GWP, non-flammable (ASHRAE Class A1) HFO-HFC refrigerant blend, designed to replace traditional R-134a in medium-temperature commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, offering comparable performance and efficiency with a reduced environmental impact.
Description
Opteon® XP10 (R-513A) is a modern hydrofluoroolefin (HFO)-based refrigerant blend developed to provide a sustainable alternative to R-134a. With a significantly lower Global Warming Potential (GWP of approximately 572, about 55% less than R-134a), it represents an ideal choice for commercial and industrial refrigeration applications requiring low emissions and reduced environmental impact.
R-513A is a non-flammable and non-toxic refrigerant (ASHRAE safety class A1), featuring a reduced GWP and zero ozone depletion potential (ODP = 0). It is miscible with polyolester (POE) lubricants, simplifying compatibility with existing systems and new installations without requiring significant changes to components or oils.
This refrigerant is approved and adopted by many refrigeration equipment manufacturers and is suitable for both new installations and R-134a system retrofits, offering a process that is fast, easy, and cost-effective.
