EDDY – The Tool for Adaptive Management of Electronic Devices on 0–10 V and PWM Control Networks
EDDY is SELPRO's range of electronic interfaces for managing analogue 0–10 V and PWM signals. CMM boosts and stabilises 0–10 V commands, while CMP converts them into PWM. Both interfaces feature Master and Slave operating modes, local command functions and a configurable emergency response to loss of the remote signal. Suitable for new installations and retrofit applications, EDDY allows the existing controller to be retained.
Description
EDDY is SELPRO's range of electronic interfaces designed to boost, stabilise and convert analogue 0–10 V and PWM control signals for EC fans and other electronic devices.
In analogue control systems, the controller's available output current and the characteristics of connected devices can affect signal distribution. EDDY operates between the controller and the connected devices, adapting the command signal to the requirements of the control network.
The range includes two main solutions:
-
EDDY CMM: Boosts and stabilises the 0–10 V command signal, providing up to 60 mA output current, with a 200 mA version available on request.
-
EDDY CMP: Converts the analogue 0–10 V command into a 25 kHz PWM signal, providing up to 20 mA output current.
EDDY electronic interfaces can operate in Master mode, generating a locally set command, or in Slave mode, processing the signal received from a remote controller.
EDDY also incorporates emergency command management functions. If the remote control signal is lost, the device can apply a preset P1 value. The Speed-Up function allows the command to be forced to its maximum value via a dedicated contact.
EDDY allows the existing control system to be retained, adding signal boosting, stabilisation and conversion capabilities, together with a defined response to loss of the remote command.
Designed for DIN rail mounting, EDDY interfaces can be integrated into new installations and retrofit projects, both in HVAC&R applications and other systems using analogue 0–10 V or PWM control signals.
