Women and Refrigeration: A Webinar to Enhance Skills and Career Paths

An international webinar highlights women's experiences in refrigeration and opens a discussion on skills and inclusion in the sector.

In a sector like commercial and industrial refrigeration , where women are still underrepresented , initiatives dedicated to enhancing their professional experiences take on strategic importance. On the occasion of International Women's Day 2026 , the AREA association is organizing a free webinar focused on this very theme: highlighting the contribution of women in the refrigeration sector , promoting inclusion, and supporting the development of more equitable and diverse professional careers.

The event will be held on March 6, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:30 (CET) , in English, and is open to free participation upon registration.

Experiences, leadership and new perspectives for the sector

The webinar will feature discussions and firsthand accounts from professionals working in various fields of refrigeration, from technical design to consulting, from operational management to coordination and leadership roles.

Through the sharing of concrete experiences, key themes for the future of the sector will emerge:

  • the evolution of skills required in new technological scenarios
  • the role of continuing education
  • the female presence in technical and managerial careers
  • the impact of diversity on innovation processes

This is not just a symbolic celebration, but an opportunity to pragmatically analyze how women's contributions can strengthen the competitiveness and resilience of refrigeration companies.

A moment of reflection for companies and professionals

For installers, designers, manufacturers, and cold chain operators, the webinar also offers an opportunity to reflect on the internal dynamics of their organizations. Attracting new professionals, promoting inclusive growth paths, and leveraging technical skills regardless of gender are elements that directly impact the ability to innovate and respond to regulatory and energy challenges.

In a market increasingly focused on sustainability and continuous development, investing in human capital development means strengthening the entire refrigeration ecosystem. The discussion promoted by AREA fits precisely with this vision: building a more open, competent sector, ready to face future transformations.
