REFRIGERA 2025: record numbers

REFRIGERA 2025 marks +12% of exhibition space compared to 2023: 5,000 m², over 260 exhibitors from 25 countries, new “SURGELA-Freezing Tech” area and extensive conference agenda

Two months after its opening, the new edition of REFRIGERA has seen significant growth compared to 2023 : the net exhibition space has exceeded 5,000 m², a 12% increase over the last edition; there are over 260 exhibitors from 25 countries, including Germany, Spain, the UK, China, and others. BolognaFiere will host the event from November 5 to 7, 2025, which focuses on refrigeration technology, sustainability, and logistics. In addition to the traditional pavilions, the "SURGELA-Freezing Tech" area for freezing and food preservation is making its debut.

An inaugural conference dedicated to sustainability will feature prominent institutional and scientific figures.

Exhibition areas and growing internationality

REFRIGERA 2025 is preparing for significant expansion: the net exhibition space exceeds 5,000 m², a 12% increase compared to 2023. This indicates that the event is directly attracting more companies and greater international participation.

The over 260 exhibitors hail from 25 countries, including China, Germany, Turkey, Spain, and the United Kingdom. The geographic diversity of the participating companies indicates that the Italian refrigeration market is attracting interest from beyond the borders, both for exports and for technological collaboration. The physical expansion of the exhibition space allows for the inclusion of special thematic areas and a diversified offering, integrating solutions for freezing, preservation, cold storage logistics, and components.

New for the 2025 edition: SURGELA-Freezing Tech and technical content

One of the major new features is the SURGELA-Freezing Tech area, dedicated to technologies for the production, processing, and preservation of frozen foods. This area will feature pre-treatment technologies, storage equipment, packaging systems, and related services. The technical program includes approximately 50 conference sessions, including the inaugural conference " Sustainability: Refrigeration at the Center ." These elements reinforce the fair's approach not only as an exhibition, but also as a knowledge, training, and technology hub.

Industry Impact: What It Means for Refrigeration Operators, the Cold Chain Industry, and Logistics

The increased scale of the exhibition and the number of exhibitors indicates that the refrigeration industry perceives growing opportunities: product innovation, more stringent environmental regulations, the demand for energy efficiency, and low-GWP refrigerants. For refrigeration technicians, manufacturers, and designers, Refrigera 2025 will be an opportunity to update themselves on trends, products, and best practices, as well as to establish business partnerships.

The logistics and freezing area, in particular, highlights challenges such as cold chain stability, advanced packaging, and post-harvest preservation. The support of associations and institutional sponsorships ensures the event's credibility and visibility.
