MCE 2026 has concluded: refrigeration at the centre of the comparison between technologies and skills

MCE 2026 confirms itself as a point of reference also for the world of refrigeration, with training, updating and comparison between professionals

The 44th edition of MCE – Mostra Convegno Expocomfort 2026 concluded at Fiera Milano Rho, confirming its role as a strategic event for the entire HVAC+R sector.

With 1,600 exhibitors and over 120,000 visitors, more than 35% of whom came from abroad, the event once again represented a key meeting point for companies, designers, and installers.

A context in which refrigeration, increasingly central to energy and industrial processes, has found space not only in terms of technologies, but above all in terms of professional exchange and updating.

Refrigeration takes center stage in training and technical updates

Alongside its exhibition offering, MCE 2026 confirmed its role as a place for in-depth analysis of the most current issues in the refrigeration sector.

During the fair, associations and technical organizations such as Assofrigoristi and Centro Studi Galileo promoted meetings and opportunities for discussion aimed at industry professionals.

These were not just training events, but real opportunities to update themselves on a rapidly evolving sector , where regulations, technologies and skills are profoundly changing the daily work of designers and refrigeration engineers.

In particular, the associations' contribution highlighted how the sector's growth increasingly depends on the dissemination of technical knowledge and professional qualifications, essential elements today for addressing the new challenges of refrigeration.

From regulations to refrigerants: an evolving supply chain

The conference program highlighted how the refrigeration industry is currently undergoing significant transformations, both due to regulatory developments and the introduction of new technologies.

Topics such as the transition to low-GWP refrigerants , energy efficiency and system integration were at the centre of the meetings promoted during the fair.

In this scenario, the technical conferences organized by Centro Studi Galileo and other industry organizations represented key moments for understanding the impact of new regulations, such as the F-Gas framework, and the operational implications for those who design, install, and manage systems.

Beyond content: the value of direct dialogue between professionals

Beyond the individual interventions, what strongly emerges from MCE 2026 is the value of direct comparison.

For the refrigeration world, the fair represents a concrete opportunity to:

  • share experiences between operators
  • discuss real project and installation critical issues
  • update itself transversally, going beyond the single technology

This is particularly important in a sector where technical skills must evolve rapidly to keep pace with increasingly stringent regulations and increasingly complex systems.

MCE confirms itself as a point of reference also for the refrigeration community

The closing of the 2026 edition confirms that MCE is not just a technological showcase, but a true point of reference for the growth of the professional refrigeration community.

The active participation of associations, training centers, and industry professionals has strengthened the event's role as a hub for connecting skills, experience, and innovation.

An increasingly central element in addressing the future challenges of refrigeration, including sustainability, energy efficiency, and continuous updating.
