Traditional connections made with rigid copper pipes require several steps before they can be integrated into the unit. The pipe must be cut, bent, and adjusted to the intended route. Once positioned, it must be connected using brazing.
The rigidity of the piping also imposes constrained routing and can make it difficult to make connections in tight spaces. Rigid piping is also more vulnerable to stresses generated by vibrations from connected components.
For this reason, intervening on the type of piping can mean simplifying not only the routing of the line, but also the methods with which it is built.
Flexibility means fewer constraints in unit design
