Fieldpiece DR82 Infrared Leak Detector

The Fieldpiece DR82 is a professional diagnostic leak detector designed to pinpoint refrigerant leaks in air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Equipped with a state-of-the-art infrared (IR) sensor, it offers high sensitivity (less than 1 gram/year), allowing for the detection of even the smallest leaks of HFC, CFC, HCFC, HFO refrigerants and their blends, including A2L-compatible versions.

The device features an ergonomic and lightweight body (weighing less than 500g) with an IP54 certification for water and dust resistance, built to withstand the rigorous conditions of daily field work. The large backlit LCD screen displays both bar graphs and numerical readings of the detected refrigerant levels, while a lighted LED tip, along with audible and visual alarms, makes locating leaks easy even in dark or noisy environments.

The leak detector includes both automatic and manual zeroing functions and does not trigger accidentally from oil vapors or moisture. It is powered by a USB-rechargeable battery with up to 10 hours of runtime, more than sufficient for a typical workday.
