Epta brings advanced refrigeration to the new Charter supermarket near Valencia.

Epta has completed the construction of the refrigerated departments of the new Charter supermarket in Alzira , near Valencia , developing a project dedicated to proximity retail and the valorization of fresh and frozen products.

The project, carried out for the Spanish cooperative Consum, was designed to improve the store's performance through advanced refrigerated solutions that combine display quality, space savings, and energy efficiency.

Zenith VP Integral Advance Plus is the star of the Fresh Foods segment.

The heart of the project is the Costan-branded Zenith VP Integral Advance Plus positive vertical refrigerator, installed in the Fresh Food area with a wall configuration covering a total of over 20 linear metres.

The solution was designed for the preservation of various product categories , including fruit and vegetables, dairy products, meat and cured meats, offering a balance between refrigeration performance, product visibility and optimisation of available space.

According to Epta, the new design of Zenith VP Integral also allows for a 100 mm reduction in counter depth, while maintaining the same display capacity thanks to the integration of the technical elements in the upper part of the furniture.

Energy efficiency and Integral technology also in frozen foods

The project also involves the frozen food department, where the GranBering Integral Ultra Air version of the Costan GranFit family has been installed.

According to Epta, the solutions reach energy class B and offer 35% higher performance than the previous generation, thanks to technologies such as the triple refrigeration circuit, inverter compressors and the hybrid defrosting system.

The Integral approach thus allows efficient refrigeration management to be extended to different areas of the supermarket, helping retailers reduce consumption and optimize operations.

MyEpta: digital management of refrigerated assets

To complete the project, Epta also introduces the MyEpta digital platform , developed to bring together technical data, digital tools and services dedicated to plant management.

Through the ASSET ID system, accessible via NFC tags installed on the furniture, technicians can consult manuals, KPIs, contracts, and maintenance history. The STORE ID function allows retailers to monitor their entire installed fleet via a centralized dashboard.
