HandyGas 19 bar Acetylene Cylinders

Refillable low-pressure (19 bar) technical acetylene cylinders, available in 5, 7, and 14 L sizes, complete with valve and protective cap, supplied pre-filled. They use the HandyGas® service for immediate “empty-for-full” exchange, making them ideal for oxy-acetylene welding, brazing, and professional applications.

Description

HandyGas® Acetylene Cylinders are designed to ensure safety, reliability, and uninterrupted operation during oxy-acetylene welding, cutting, brazing, and industrial maintenance.

Made of refillable steel and compliant with TPED regulations, the cylinders contain technical acetylene at a working pressure of 19 bar. The interior of each cylinder is treated with a special absorbent reagent to ensure chemical stability and safety during transport and use, while the exterior is coated with a primer paint for enhanced durability.

Each cylinder comes equipped with an Italian-made valve and a protective cap. Thanks to the HandyGas® service, empty cylinders can be quickly replaced with full ones at authorized GeneralGas/Saldogas centers, without waiting time, ensuring operational continuity and user safety.

FAQ

The new consultation phase launched at the European level concerns the possible introduction of broad restrictions on the use of PFAS, currently being evaluated by institutions. The process involves industry and technical stakeholders to define the methods, timing, and scope of application of any potential restrictions.

The restrictions could have a significant impact because some substances used in refrigerants belong to the PFAS family. This could lead to restrictions on the use of certain fluids and the need to develop alternatives, with implications for the design, availability, and costs of HVAC/R systems.

The European debate has raised the possibility of exemptions or specific treatments for the HVAC/R sector, to avoid overlap with the existing F-Gas Regulation. Some studies suggest maintaining a separate regulation for refrigerants, considered strategic for many technological applications.
