Frigor Box International: customized solutions for industrial and commercial refrigeration
Who we are
Frigor Box International was founded in the 1970s with the goal of developing new solutions for the preservation and processing of products through refrigeration. Among the technologies that have characterized the company's growth is the hook-and-loop joining system for polyurethane panels, developed to make cold rooms modular, removable, and configurable to meet different application needs.
Over the course of over fifty years of business, the company has expanded its offerings from the production of panels and cells to the creation of complete refrigeration systems. Design is managed by the in-house technical office, which also develops special solutions and can conduct on-site surveys, while products and components are assembled at the company headquarters.
Who are our solutions intended for?
Frigor Box solutions are designed for businesses requiring storage, cooling, freezing, or temperature-controlled environments.
The company operates in numerous sectors, including the food industry, ice cream and chocolate production, bakery and pastry making, mass catering, dairy, meat and seafood processing, fruit and vegetables, supermarkets, and frozen food distribution. It also has specialized applications in the pharmaceutical, hospital, naval, logistics, and industrial sectors.
What we offer
The offer includes a wide range of products and systems for refrigeration at positive and negative temperatures:
- industrial and commercial cold rooms, also available in customized configurations;
- modular and removable mini-cells;
- blast chillers and rapid freezers, also for industrial applications;
- cooling and freezing tunnel;
- compact or demountable refrigerated cabinets;
- refrigerator doors and special doors;
- ceiling-mounted, overlapping, monoblock, split and CO₂-based refrigeration systems;
- proofers and systems dedicated to baking and pastry making;
- climatic chambers, controlled atmosphere cells, clean rooms and other special applications.
Industrial cold rooms are custom-built for indoor and outdoor applications and can be configured for positive or negative temperatures. Modular panels ranging from 60 to 220 mm thick are available for commercial cold rooms, while mini cold rooms are designed to operate approximately between +15°C and -25°C.
The advantages of our solutions
One of the distinctive features of the Frigor Box offering is the ability to develop systems configured to meet the needs of each individual project. Dimensions, insulation, cladding, accessories, and functional features can be tailored to the application and required operating conditions.
In-house production also allows for the coordination of design, manufacturing, and assembly of the various components. The modular panel system allows for the creation of removable and reconfigurable cells, while the focus on thermal insulation helps limit heat loss and improve the efficiency of temperature-controlled storage.
Frigor Box also develops solutions capable of reaching particularly low temperatures, with specific applications that can reach temperatures as low as -80°C.
Design, installation and assistance
The process begins with an analysis of the client's needs and the definition of the most suitable technical solution. The technical office uses dedicated design tools and, for special projects, can conduct on-site surveys.
Frigor Box also provides industry professionals with 3D design software for cold storage rooms and doors, developed by the company to support the configuration of solutions.
Production is accompanied by installation, assistance, and spare parts services, with the aim of following the project even in the post-construction phases.
Innovation and sustainability
Research and development focuses on improving refrigeration system performance, insulation, and configuration flexibility. Particular attention is paid to reducing heat loss and optimizing energy efficiency in storage and cooling processes.
The range also includes solutions that use R744 (CO₂), both in refrigeration systems and in some blast chiller and freezer configurations. The company also offers polyurethane panels with various fire resistance characteristics and, upon request, PIR panels in class Bs2d0 according to EN 13501-1.
