The third edition of the ATMOsphere MAC Summit , an international conference focused on the use of natural refrigerants in transport refrigeration systems, mobile air conditioning, and on-board heat pumps, will be held in Brussels on September 29, 2026. The event is organized by ATMOsphere together with the Chair of Heat Transfer and Heat Conversion at the Technical University of Berlin, a scientific partner of the initiative since its inception.

Unlike the two previous editions, which took place over two days on the TU Berlin campus, the 2026 event will adopt a compact one-day format and change venue, moving to the Belgian capital to reach a wider audience and make it easier for European operators to participate.

The expected audience includes refrigeration technicians, refrigeration system designers, component manufacturers, OEMs, research and development experts, regulators, and university researchers working towards the transition to low-impact climate solutions for mobile refrigeration. The program alternates technical presentations, discussion sessions, and case studies presented by market leaders, with field evidence relating to the use of CO₂ (R744) and propane (R290) in the automotive, bus, truck, and rail sectors.

The summit aims to be a meeting place for those who design systems, define the rules of the game, and conduct cutting-edge research, with the aim of shortening the time to industrialize climate-friendly technologies in the refrigerated transport and electric mobility sectors.
